Reflection questions, practical tools and guides to support your next step.

Practical tools

Use these questions on screen or print this page. They are starting points for reflection and discussion, rather than assessments of compliance or personal suitability.

Leadership reflection

Identify a situation, examine your response and choose one action to test. Use the reflection guide

Leadership reflection guide

  1. Situation: What recent leadership decision would you like to understand better?
  2. Purpose: What were you trying to achieve, and for whom?
  3. Response: What did you say or do? What assumptions shaped your response?
  4. Perspective: What might another person involved have experienced differently?
  5. Action: What one behaviour could you test in a similar situation?
  6. Review: When will you reflect on the result, and what feedback would help?

Write one sentence for each question. Choose a manageable action you can review.

Social ESG self-assessment

Choose one area, such as return to work, workload or progression. For each question, note clear evidence, partial evidence or not yet known, then record an action and owner.

  1. Have we heard from the people affected, including those who may find it difficult to speak up?
  2. Can we describe the issue using both experience and relevant information?
  3. Does our written policy match everyday practice?
  4. Is there a named person able to act on the priority?
  5. Have we defined what improvement would look like?
  6. Can we review progress without collecting unnecessary personal information?

This is a discussion tool, not a certification or score. Use gaps to choose the next question to investigate.

Career transition worksheet

  1. Keep: Which activities, relationships and working conditions do you value?
  2. Change: What would you like less of, and what would you like more of?
  3. Constraints: What time, caring or practical commitments should a next step respect?
  4. Explore: Which two possible directions are worth learning more about?
  5. Test: What small conversation or activity could help you assess one direction?
  6. Review: When will you look back at what you learned?

Keep any personal notes in a place you control. You can bring the questions you want to explore to Coaching.

Request an existing guide

Use the request form to identify the guide you need and ask whether it is suitable for your context.

Articles and examples

Questions about using our resources

Where should I start in the resource library?

Choose a tool that matches your immediate question: leadership reflection for a recent decision, the Social ESG self-assessment for a workplace priority, or the career transition worksheet for a possible change in direction.

Can I use the worksheets without a coaching or advisory engagement?

The on-page questions are available as starting points for your own reflection and discussion. You can use them independently and enquire about support if you want to explore a topic further.

How do I request one of the existing ESG guides?

Follow the “Request an existing guide” link and select the item in the resource request form. Include the context of your request if you would like to discuss which guide is relevant.

Do these tools provide a compliance assessment or certification?

No. The questions help organise reflection and identify areas to investigate. They do not establish compliance, certify performance or replace an assessment of your particular circumstances.

Are the examples based on completed Rhodope client projects?

Examples labelled “illustrative” explain an approach and are not presented as completed client engagements. Any published client case study should identify Rhodope’s contribution and the evidence supporting the reported result.
